More about corporate events

Official tickets and complete football trips with hotel for an SS Lazio home game at the Stadio Olimpico. We arrange the seat in the right end, the hotel and one point of contact from enquiry to return journey.

Why the club is named after the region, not the city

This is the distinction that explains everything in Rome. When a group of sportsmen founded the club on 9 January 1900, they deliberately named it not after the city but after the whole region: Lazio, the Latium of antiquity. The club was meant to belong to the people between the coast and the Apennines, not only to Romans inside the walls. A large part of the support still comes from the province today — while the city rivals carry the she-wolf of Rome on their badge.

Lazio are also older than any other club in the city, and were a multi-sport society from the start. Football was one section among athletics, fencing, rowing and dozens of others, a structure the club still maintains. The white and sky blue come from the Greek flag, a nod to the Olympic ideal the founders had in mind.

Olimpia — the eagle that flies over the pitch before kick-off

The crest carries an eagle, and Lazio take that literally. Before home games a real eagle is released, circles above the pitch and returns to its handler on the centre circle while the ground sings the anthem "Vola Lazio Vola" — fly, Lazio, fly. The bird has a name, Olimpia, and for many visitors this moment before kick-off is the image that stays with them. After that the supporters are what the badge says: le Aquile, the eagles, and i Biancocelesti, the white and sky blues.

The Stadio Olimpico and the Curva Nord

The Olimpico stands in the Foro Italico on the northern bank of the Tiber, a 1930s sports complex of marble statues and wide avenues. Opened in 1937, rebuilt for the 1960 Olympic Games and last modernised for the 1990 World Cup, it holds 70,634.

Worth knowing: it is a multi-purpose stadium with a running track, so you sit further from the pitch than in a football-only ground. The end makes up for it — on its bigger nights the Olimpico is among the most impressive grounds in Europe for sheer noise.

The most important point for your booking: Lazio and Roma share the stadium but not the ends. The Curva Nord is home to the Lazio support; the Curva Sud belongs to the city rivals. For a Lazio home game you want the north end — we take that into account.

Choosing where to sit

  • Curva Nord — behind the goal, the active Lazio support with the displays and the singing.
  • Tribuna Tevere — the touchline towards the river, a good read on the game and quieter than the end.
  • Tribuna Monte Mario — the covered main stand, the best seats in the ground.
  • Distinti — the corners between end and touchline, usually the cheapest seat with a usable view.
  • Hospitality — the seat with catering, a separate entrance and lounge access before and after the match.

We supply official tickets only. Seats together are the norm; for larger groups we confirm before you book.

The Derby della Capitale

The Derby della Capitale against AS Roma is the fixture of the season for Lazio supporters. Both clubs call the same stadium home, so depending on the fixture only the ends swap roles — a derby without an away journey, which is rare in Europe. Tickets go correspondingly early.

Then come the home games against Juventus, Inter, AC Milan and Napoli. The wider picture is on our Serie A page.

Getting to Rome

Rome Fiumicino has direct flights from every Nordic capital, from Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin and across the UK; Ciampino handles the low-cost routes. The stadium is north-west of the centre, reached by matchday buses, by metro line A with tram 2, or on foot from Ponte Milvio in about fifteen minutes.

Rome offers more than fits into a weekend: the Colosseum, the Forum, the Vatican, and Trastevere for the evening. We book your hotel so that the stadium and the city fit together without long journeys.

One note on planning: Serie A kick-off times are confirmed only a few weeks ahead, because matchdays are spread from Friday to Monday and scheduled for broadcast. Choose flexible return travel — we flag the affected dates when we quote.

Choose your fixture and send us an enquiry. The earlier it reaches us, the wider the choice of category and hotel.
