Olympique Lyon Tickets 2026/27 — Ligue 1 at the Groupama Stadium

Lyon is where France eats. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, the TGV reaches Paris in a little over two hours, and Geneva is closer than most people assume. The football club, meanwhile, did something between 2002 and 2008 that nobody in France has managed since.

Olympique Lyon tickets 2026/27: seventeen home fixtures from 39 euros

This is OL's thirty-eighth consecutive season in the French top flight. We sell official tickets for the home matches at the Groupama Stadium, on their own or with a hotel. Entry-level seats start at 39 euros, which is unusually low for a league of this standing.

Seven titles in a row: the run France has never repeated

Between 2002 and 2008 Olympique Lyon won seven consecutive French championships. No other club has come close in Ligue 1 — not Marseille at their strongest, not Saint-Étienne, not Paris. Walk into the Groupama Stadium today and you are watching a club whose self-image was formed in those years and does not depend on this month's table.

There is a second record that rarely gets mentioned abroad. The club's women's side, OL Lyonnes, has won eight European titles — more than any other team in women's football. Lyon is the only address in Europe where both halves of the club have written continental history.

Les Gones: a nickname straight out of the local dialect

Supporters call the team "Les Gones". The word comes from Lyonnais, the regional dialect, and simply means "the lads". It was never a marketing invention and it is not standard Parisian French — it is a piece of city language that found its way into the stadium, in the same way the traboules, the hidden passageways through the old town's buildings, are a piece of city history.

Tickets for the Choc des Olympiques: Lyon against Marseille

The biggest home fixture of the season is the Choc des Olympiques, the meeting of the two clubs carrying the name Olympique: Olympique Lyon against Olympique Marseille on 13 December 2026. Rhône against Mediterranean, bourgeois city against port city. After the Paris fixture it is the most expensive ticket of the year, and at 69 to 79 euros it is still reasonable. The stadium is not in Lyon — plan for it

Know this before you book. The Groupama Stadium, originally the Parc Olympique Lyonnais, is not in Lyon but about ten kilometres east, in Décines-Charpieu. Anyone assuming a quarter of an hour from a hotel in the old town will miss kick-off.

The reliable route is tram T3 from Lyon Part-Dieu to the Décines OL Vallée stop. Allow 25 to 30 minutes on the tram and another five to ten on foot. Services are increased on matchdays, and they fill up accordingly — take the earlier one.

Do not confuse the T3 with the Rhônexpress. That is the airport link between Lyon-Saint-Exupéry and Part-Dieu; it does not serve the stadium, even though it shares part of the corridor.

Tickets for Lyon against PSG: the season's ceiling and its floor

The price range this season is unusually wide. At the top sits Olympique Lyon against Paris Saint-Germain on 9 May 2027 at 139 to 179 euros, with the reigning European champions visiting — see Paris Saint-Germain. At the bottom, fixtures such as Stade Rennes on 19 September 2026 or Toulouse on 27 February 2027 start at 39 euros.

Bouchons, traboules and the Fête des Lumières

Lyon fills a weekend without a match. Vieux Lyon is UNESCO-listed and one of the largest continuous Renaissance quarters in Europe, threaded through with traboules — covered passageways you have to know about to find.

Then there is the food. The bouchons, Lyon's traditional taverns, are the reason the city has been called the gastronomic capital of France for decades. In December the Fête des Lumières lights the whole centre for four evenings; it is worth planning a trip around on its own.

Getting to Lyon and booking the weekend

Lyon-Saint-Exupéry takes direct flights from across northern Europe, the TGV runs from Paris in a little over two hours, and Geneva is a short hop away for anyone routing through Switzerland. Base yourself in the centre or near Part-Dieu — the tram to the stadium leaves from there and the old town is on your doorstep.
