More about corporate events

From the outside the Red Bull Arena does not look like a modern stadium at all. It looks like an overgrown earth bank. Only once you cross one of the bridges does the new build appear inside it. No other ground is put together this way — and it says more about Leipzig than about the club that plays there.

RB Leipzig tickets 2026/27: home fixtures from 139 euros

Leipzig play in the Bundesliga, and most home fixtures are bookable with us. Take the seat as a Ticket Combo with something to do in the city, or as a travel package with a hotel.

The pricing is clearly tiered. Matches such as RB Leipzig against FC Augsburg on 7 November 2026, against SC Freiburg on 3 April 2027 or against TSG Hoffenheim on 22 May 2027 start at 139 euros. The two marquee fixtures sit at 299.

A stadium inside a stadium

Where the Red Bull Arena stands today, the Zentralstadion opened in 1956 — with room for roughly 100,000 people, the largest ground in Germany. It was not a concrete structure but an earth embankment, raised in large part from the rubble of a city destroyed in the war.

When the new ground was built in 2004, that bank was not removed. The modern arena, holding around 47,000, was placed inside it, and the old ring was left standing. Four bridges cross the gap between them — so the walk to your seat runs literally through the city's post-war history.

Knowing that changes the walk. Not knowing it, you simply wonder about the hill.

The youngest club in the league

RB Leipzig were founded in 2009, which makes them younger than every other Bundesliga club — most opponents are over a century old. The rise from the fifth tier to the Champions League within a few years has no parallel in German football.

The club divides opinion, and you will occasionally hear that at away grounds. For a visitor the practical consequence is a crowd composed differently from Dortmund's or Bremen's — younger, less inherited, and in a region that had no top-flight football at all for two decades before 2009.

Bayern and Dortmund tickets at the Red Bull Arena

The two big dates are RB Leipzig against Borussia Dortmund on 19 December 2026 and against Bayern Munich on 27 February 2027, both from 299 euros. Club pages: Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

In between come Bayer 04 Leverkusen on 13 February 2027, Werder Bremen on 30 January 2027 and VfB Stuttgart on 13 January 2027 — the last an 8.30pm kick-off, which in a Leipzig January makes for the denser atmosphere. See Bayer Leverkusen, Werder Bremen and VfB Stuttgart.

Leipzig: Bach, the Nikolaikirche and the Peaceful Revolution

Leipzig is where the Peaceful Revolution of 1989 began. The Monday demonstrations set out from the Nikolaikirche; on 9 October some 70,000 people gathered without a shot being fired. The church stands in the centre and is open to visitors — ten minutes, and it is the reason this city appears in the history books.

Two hundred and fifty years earlier, Johann Sebastian Bach was cantor here. The Thomanerchor still sings in the church where Bach is buried, usually on Fridays and Saturdays. Add Auerbachs Keller, the cellar Goethe wrote into Faust, the vast Monument to the Battle of the Nations in the south, and the Baumwollspinnerei, a former cotton mill that has become one of Europe's liveliest art quarters.

Getting there and booking

Leipzig's main station is the largest terminus in Europe by floor area and a high-speed hub towards Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt; Leipzig/Halle airport is twenty minutes away by train. From the station the Red Bull Arena is a twenty-minute walk through the Rosental park, or a short tram ride.

Tell us which home fixture you want and how many nights you are staying, and we will assemble the ticket, the hotel and the travel.
