More about corporate events

Celtic Park is known to its own crowd as Paradise — not a marketing line but a name that came from the terraces. Anyone who has heard 60,000 people in Glasgow's East End start up just before kick-off understands why this ground appears on almost every list of Europe's loudest.

Celtic tickets 2026/27: seventeen home fixtures at Celtic Park

For home matches at Celtic Park we sell official tickets — Celtic is one of the Scottish clubs where that applies. Take the ticket on its own, or the travel package with a hotel.

The season brings seventeen home fixtures in the Scottish Premiership, across an unusually wide price range: an ordinary league match starts at around 79 euros, an Old Firm costs many times that. Seeing Celtic for the first time need not be expensive.

Founded to feed children

Celtic was formed in 1887 in Glasgow's East End, and the reason was not sporting. Brother Walfrid, a Marist, wanted to raise money for free meals for the children of Irish immigrant families living in the city's poorest districts. The football club was the means, not the end.

That origin still underpins the identity: Celtic is the club of Irish Catholic migration to Scotland, and the green and white with the four-leaf clover on the badge are its markers. To understand why the Old Firm is more than a city derby, you have to start here.

The Lisbon Lions: eleven players from thirty miles

In 1967 Celtic became the first British club to win the European Cup, beating Inter Milan in the final in Lisbon. What sets that team apart has never been matched: every one of the eleven was born within about thirty miles of Glasgow.

A European title won by a side from one city has become simply unthinkable in modern football. The Lisbon Lions are therefore not a nostalgic footnote but the yardstick everything in Glasgow is still measured against.

Paradise and You'll Never Walk Alone

Celtic Park holds around 60,000 and sits east of the city centre. "You'll Never Walk Alone" plays before kick-off — as old a tradition here as on Merseyside, and sung with a force that makes the difference between playing a song and meaning it.

The noise is driven by the Green Brigade in the north-west corner, whose displays rank among the most elaborate in Europe. Just before kick-off the team forms the Huddle in the centre circle — a ritual from the 1990s that now opens every home match.

Old Firm tickets: why it is always a home ticket

The Old Firm against Rangers is one of the most intense derbies anywhere. Two fall at Celtic Park: Celtic against Rangers on 20 September 2026 and the second Old Firm on 27 February 2027. The other side is on our Rangers page.

One practical point before booking: away allocations at the Glasgow derbies are heavily restricted and at times withdrawn altogether. An Old Firm ticket is therefore almost always a home ticket — you book the home fixture of the club you want to watch and sit among its supporters. That is not a limitation but the actual experience; just do not travel in the wrong shirt.

The other home fixtures, from 79 euros

For a first visit the league matches are the better choice, and the ground is the same. Currently available are Celtic against Aberdeen on 2 September 2026 from 79 euros, against Dundee United on 28 October 2026 from 89 euros and against Kilmarnock on 7 November 2026 from 89 euros.

The Edinburgh visitors bring their own edge: Celtic against Heart of Midlothian on 17 October 2026 and against Hibernian on 12 December 2026. An evening match under floodlights — say against Motherwell on 26 December 2026 — is the most atmospheric option a Scottish winter offers.

Glasgow: two stadiums, one city

Glasgow is the only city in Europe with two grounds of this size a few kilometres apart. With the right fixture list, a single weekend can hold two league matches without changing hotel.

The city itself is underrated by visitors heading for Edinburgh. Glasgow is rougher, more musical and considerably more alive — Victorian architecture in the centre, the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, and a live music scene among the best in Britain.

Getting there and booking

Glasgow takes direct flights from across Ireland, Scandinavia, the Benelux countries and Germany, and Edinburgh is around fifty minutes away by train. Celtic Park lies east of the centre, reached on matchdays by shuttle buses and via Dalmarnock station.

Tell us which home fixture you want and how many nights you are staying. We will assemble the ticket, the hotel and the travel — and tell you in advance where your category sits inside the ground.
