More about corporate events

Ibrox is one of very few football grounds in Europe that carries listed building status — not as a monument but as a working stadium. Behind the red-brick facade on Glasgow's south side, top-flight football still takes place every other Saturday.

Rangers tickets 2026/27: fifteen home fixtures at Ibrox

For home matches at Ibrox we sell official tickets — Rangers is one of the Scottish clubs where that applies. Take the ticket alone or together with a hotel.

The season brings fifteen home fixtures in the Scottish Premiership, with seats from 79 euros for a standard league match. Only the Old Firm sits well above that.

The Bill Struth Main Stand: a listed stadium

The main stand was built in 1928 to a design by Archibald Leitch, the architect who shaped Britain's classic grounds, and it is protected as a listed building. From outside you see red brick and arched windows — closer to a commercial building of the period than to a stadium.

Inside, the marble staircase leads up into a wood-panelled entrance hall. The stand is named after Bill Struth, the manager who ran the club from 1920 to 1954. If stadium architecture interests you, build a tour into the trip — very few buildings of this kind are still in use anywhere in Britain.

1872: the older of the two Glasgow clubs

Rangers were founded in 1872 by four young men on the banks of the Clyde, fifteen years before Celtic. The club holds the most Scottish league titles and won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1972 in Barcelona — still its only European trophy. In 2022 the side reached another continental final, the Europa League decider in Seville.

Supporters are known as Bluenoses or Teddy Bears, and their anthem "Follow Follow" is among the oldest continuously sung terrace songs in Britain.

Old Firm tickets for 2 January: the New Year derby

The Glasgow derby at the turn of the year is an institution of its own, and this season it falls exactly on the date it is famous for: Rangers against Celtic on 2 January 2027. An Old Firm between the years, in a Scottish winter, under floodlights — few fixtures in Europe carry that density. The other side is on our Celtic page.

A practical note before you book: away allocations at the Glasgow derbies are heavily restricted and at times withdrawn entirely. An Old Firm ticket is therefore effectively always a home ticket. You book the home fixture of the club you want to see, and you sit among its supporters.

Tickets from 79 euros: the rest of the season

To experience Ibrox without the derby premium there are fourteen other chances. The evening fixtures under floodlights are both cheap and atmospheric: Rangers against Dundee United on 2 December 2026 from 79 euros, and against Kilmarnock on 3 February 2027, also from 79 euros.

Stronger opposition comes with Rangers against Aberdeen on 31 October 2026 — the meeting with Scotland's third major club — and the Edinburgh sides: Heart of Midlothian on 19 December 2026 and Hibernian on 3 April 2027. Early in the season comes Rangers against St Mirren on 22 August 2026.

The Blue Sea of Ibrox

Ibrox holds around 50,000, and every tier is seated in blue. With a full house and the flags up, the result is the image supporters call the Blue Sea of Ibrox — an unbroken blue surface across all four stands.

Acoustically Ibrox differs from Celtic Park: tighter, deeper, with more weight coming from the Broomloan and Copland ends. Anyone who takes in both grounds on the same weekend hears the difference immediately.

Govan: Glasgow south of the Clyde

Ibrox stands in Govan, south of the river — historically the heart of Clyde shipbuilding, and the source of a large part of the Rangers support. Glasgow's underground, known simply as the Subway, stops at Ibrox station beside the ground; after London and Budapest it is the third-oldest metro in the world.

A few minutes away lie the Riverside Museum on the Clyde and the Glenlee, one of the last surviving Clyde-built sailing ships. For a matchday morning that is the obvious pairing.

Getting there and booking

Glasgow takes direct flights from Ireland, Scandinavia, the Benelux countries and Germany, and Edinburgh is fifty minutes away by train. From the city centre the Subway reaches Ibrox in a little over ten minutes.
