Hill Dickinson Stadium – tickets for Everton's new home

Since August 2025, Everton no longer play at Goodison Park but at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock, on the Mersey waterfront. The first competitive match came on 24 August 2025 against Brighton and finished 2-0.

Around 52,800 seats, no running track, a closed bowl — some 13,000 more than the old Goodison Park held, making this one of the largest club grounds in England.

The south stand: Dortmund as the model

Behind the south goal stands a single steep tier of around 13,000. It was explicitly designed after Dortmund's Yellow Wall — one undivided bank rather than two tiers stacked on top of each other, so the support stands together and the noise does not split across two levels.

If you want Everton tickets for the atmosphere, look there. If you would rather watch the football in peace, take a side stand.

Built into a dock

The site is what makes it. Bramley-Moore Dock is a nineteenth-century dock basin; it was infilled for the build and the stadium set on top. The listed dock wall and the hydraulic tower beside it were kept, and the brick-and-steel facade picks up the language of the warehouses around it.

The architect was the American Dan Meis with MEIS Architects. The result is a new build that looks as though it always belonged to the docks — rarely achieved at this scale.

The walk along the Mersey

The ground sits in Vauxhall, around two kilometres north of the Pier Head. The approach runs along the water, past the Three Graces and the Albert Dock — one of the finest walks to any ground in England. From the city centre allow 25 to 30 minutes on foot.

An honest word on the surroundings: at the dock itself the food and drink offer is only beginning — the district is being developed alongside the stadium. What there is sits in the centre and around the Albert Dock, and the walk back that way is part of the evening anyway.

Getting there

The nearest stations are Sandhills and Moorfields; extra shuttle buses run from the centre on matchdays. If you would rather walk, follow the waterfront north.

Liverpool John Lennon airport is around twelve kilometres away; Manchester is some 55 kilometres, a good hour by train.

And if you want to see the old ground: Goodison Park still stands, around four kilometres north, and has been the home of Everton Women since 2025/26.
