Stuttgart vs Lille

VfB Stuttgart tickets for the Champions League match against Lille

Stuttgart host Lille on Wednesday 9 December 2026. Nights like this are not routine for the club, which is precisely why the MHPArena tends to make the most of them.

Stuttgart's record

Five German championships, the most recent in 2007, and the DFB-Pokal in 2025. The ground in the Neckarpark - still the Neckarstadion to older supporters - holds around 60,000, with the Cannstatter Kurve setting the tone.

Lille, champions of France

Lille took the Ligue 1 title in 2021, interrupting a long run of Parisian dominance. They play at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, one of Europe's most advanced grounds, with a retractable roof and a moving stand. Their rivalry with neighbours Lens defines football in the north of France.

Around the match

The stadium sits in Bad Cannstatt, a few minutes by S-Bahn from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof to Neckarpark. The Mercedes-Benz Museum stands beside the ground and the Wilhelma zoological and botanical gardens are within walking distance - both fill an afternoon.
