A home match in Leuven

Union's own Joseph Marien stadium in southern Brussels is too small for European football, so the club plays at the King Power at Den Dreef Stadion in Leuven, twenty minutes by train from Brussels.

Two clubs with history

Union are eleven-time Belgian champions, most of those titles from the first half of the twentieth century; after decades in the lower divisions they came back up in 2021. Celtic were the first British winners of the European Cup, in 1967.
