A works team that won Europe

PSV began in 1913 as the sports club of the Philips company, and the Philips Stadion still carries the name. In 1988 they won the European Cup against Benfica and completed a domestic double in the same season - the high point of the club's history. The UEFA Cup had come their way in 1978.
