Lille OSC tickets for the Champions League match with Galatasaray

Galatasaray come to Lille on a date still to be announced. Turkish support travels across Europe in numbers, and under a closed roof that makes for a particular kind of night.

Galatasaray in Europe

In 2000 they became the only Turkish side to win the UEFA Cup, adding the European Super Cup the same year. Their own ground is among the loudest on the continent, and the travelling support carries that reputation with it.

The Stade Pierre-Mauroy

Opened in 2012, around 50,000, with a retractable roof and half a stand that slides across for concerts and indoor events. Lille were French champions in 2011 and 2021 and run the best academy in Ligue 1.

Half an hour from Brussels and on the Eurostar line from London. The Vieille Bourse, the Grand Place and the Flemish brickwork make the old town one of the finest in northern France.
