Manchester City tickets for the Champions League match with Sporting
City host Sporting on Wednesday 27 January 2027. Few clubs in Europe have sent as many players to England as the Lisbon side.
Sporting's academy
The academy at Alcochete has produced generations who went on to England, Spain and Italy - Cristiano Ronaldo being only the best known. Sporting won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1964 and play at the Estádio José Alvalade.
The Etihad
Built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games and City's home since 2003, when they left Maine Road. In 2023 the club won this competition as part of a treble. Trams stop at Etihad Campus, ten minutes from the centre.
Manchester
