The 2009 UEFA Cup
Shakhtar beat Werder Bremen after extra time in the 2009 final in Istanbul, the club's greatest continental achievement. They have been unable to play at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk since 2014, staging home fixtures at changing venues ever since.
