On Friday 7 May 2027 Harry Styles plays Rogers Stadium in Toronto. It is the first of two nights in Canada — at a venue that did not exist a few years ago.

A stadium with an expiry date

Rogers Stadium was built in nine months on the grounds of the former Downsview airport in northern Toronto and opened in June 2025. It is due to be demolished around 2030, when redevelopment of the site begins.

It holds around 50,000 people, and the unusual part is that no sports team owns it: it was built purely for concerts, which at this scale is rare anywhere in the world. Lainey Wilson is announced as support.

Why driving is not an option here

The site has virtually no parking. It does have two subway stations within reach, and the city has at times laid on free subway travel after shows. Public transport here is not the fallback but the intended route.

It is an open-air site with no roof. Early May evenings in Toronto can still turn genuinely cold — pack a jacket.

The sensible place to stay is downtown, on the subway line running out to Downsview. From there you reach the site without changing and get away again afterwards. If you are extending the trip: Niagara Falls is a day trip from Toronto.
