Rotterdam meets Porto

Feyenoord come from Rotterdam-Zuid, the working district by the river; Porto are the club of the north against the capital. Both have won the European Cup - Feyenoord in 1970 as the first Dutch side, Porto in 1987 and 2004.

De Kuip

"The Tub": steep tiers, no running track, the pitch close enough to touch. Opened in 1937, around 47,500, with "Hand in Hand" sung by the whole ground before kick-off. Add the UEFA Cups of 1974 and 2002, the latter won at home.
