AEK's origins

Founded in Athens in 1924 by Greeks displaced from Constantinople. The Byzantine double-headed eagle on the badge records it, and the stadium opened in 2022 is known as the Agia Sophia after the church in the city they left.

A few steps from the water since the 1920s, around 13,500 seats, with the Alps across the lake. Como returned to Serie A in 2024 after 21 years.
