A familiar opponent

The two met in the group stage in 2011/12 and again in 2013/14, when Dortmund won 2-1 at the Emirates in October 2013. Both squads have turned over several times since, but the fixture has kept its edge.

The Emirates and Highbury

Arsenal have played at the Emirates since 2006, a 60,000-seat ground a few hundred metres from old Highbury, whose listed Art Deco frontage now fronts apartments. Arsenal station on the Piccadilly Line brings you almost to the turnstiles.

The ground is in Islington, fifteen minutes by tube from central London. Flights from Scandinavia, the Benelux countries and Ireland land at all the London airports, and two nights gives you the city as well as the football.
