Villarreal CF tickets: a Champions League club in a small town

Vila-real has around 50,000 inhabitants and a football club that has beaten Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United, won the Europa League and reached a Champions League semi-final. Nothing about that adds up on paper, which is exactly why the Yellow Submarine is one of the most likeable trips in Spanish football.

The Estadio de la Cerámica holds a little over 23,000 and is named after the ceramics industry the town lives from. The stands are close, the pitch is immaculate, and on a European night the whole place turns yellow.
