Parma tickets: the side that beat Europe in the nineties

For a decade Parma were one of the strongest clubs on the continent. Two UEFA Cups, a Cup Winners' Cup and a Coppa Italia arrived in the 1990s, and the team sheet reads like a hall of fame: Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Cannavaro, Hernán Crespo, Dino Baggio, Gianfranco Zola, Juan Sebastián Verón. Then came bankruptcy, a restart in the amateur leagues and a long climb back.

The Stadio Ennio Tardini holds around 22,000 and stands a ten-minute walk from the cathedral, which makes it one of the easiest grounds in Italy to reach on foot.

Parma gave its name to Parmigiano Reggiano and prosciutto di Parma, and the producers in the surrounding countryside take visitors.
