Killie were founded in 1869, which makes them the oldest professional club in Scotland — older than Rangers and Celtic. Rugby Park holds around 17,900, has four covered stands close to the pitch and sits among the terraced streets of the town, exactly as a British ground should.
The high points are the league title of 1965, won on the final day with a 2-0 in Edinburgh, and the Scottish Cup in 1997. In Kilmarnock both are discussed as though they happened last season.
