Rod Stewart live in Munich — 20 June 2027 at the Olympiahalle

On Sunday, 20 June 2027, Rod Stewart plays the Olympiahalle in Munich. It is the third of only four German dates of „The Final Encore“ and the only one in the south of the country. Earlier in June Stewart plays Berlin and Düsseldorf; the last German date is Hanover on 24 July. Stewart has announced the tour as his last big rock 'n' roll tour — this evening is the chance to see him live in Bavaria once more.

The Sunday date

A Sunday concert rounds off a weekend in Munich nicely: arrive on Friday or Saturday, take time for the city, the English Garden or a beer garden, and see the show on Sunday evening. We recommend staying one more night after the concert and travelling home on Monday rather than chasing the last train late on Sunday.

The Olympiahalle

The Olympiahalle was built for the 1972 Olympic Games and stands in the Olympiapark in the north of Munich, beneath the well-known tent roof designed by Günter Behnisch and Frei Otto. For concerts it holds up to around 15,000 people. It has been a fixture for major concerts in Munich for decades, and the park itself is pleasant for a walk before the show.

To keep the way back short, we choose hotels along the U3 underground line, for example in Schwabing or the city centre, or close to the Olympiapark itself.

Getting to the Olympiahalle

The U3 runs from the city centre directly to Olympiazentrum station, a few minutes' walk from the arena; from Marienplatz the journey takes around ten minutes. For large events the transport operator usually adds extra trains after the show. If you drive, note that parking at the Olympiapark is in high demand on event days.

The fan club presale starts on Tuesday, 29 September 2026. For the German dates, the PayPal and Telekom presale follows on Wednesday, 30 September, at 10:00 CEST (48 hours), and the Ticketmaster presale on Thursday, 1 October, at 10:00 CEST. General sale through Live Nation opens on Friday, 2 October 2026, at 10:00 CEST.
