A ground bigger than the town

Lens has around 31,000 inhabitants; the Stade Bollaert-Delelis holds about 38,000. The tickets go out across the whole former mining basin, and before kick-off the entire ground sings "Les Corons", the song about the region's pit villages. There is little like it anywhere in Europe.
