The Friday date

A Friday concert fits neatly into a weekend: arrive on Friday, concert in the evening, then Saturday and Sunday in Munich. With Easter Sunday on 28 March 2027, the date falls in the week after Easter, when many German states still have school holidays. For families with teenagers it is a relaxed combination, as nobody has to be up early the next morning.

The Olympiahalle München

The Olympiahalle was built for the 1972 Summer Olympics and sits in the Olympiapark in the north of Munich. It has been one of the city's leading concert halls for decades. The surrounding park offers plenty of space to wait and meet up before doors.

Getting to the Olympiahalle München

Take the U3 to Olympiazentrum; the arena is a few minutes' walk away. Driving on concert nights takes time and parking is scarce. Trains are crowded after the show, so if you are travelling with teenagers, agree on a meeting point in advance.
