On a date still to be announced RCD Espanyol host Real Madrid at the RCDE Stadium — a La Liga fixture, and one of the earliest chances of the season to see Real Madrid away from the Bernabéu.
The categories available for this match, and what they cost, are listed at the top of this page. If the one you want is not there, we will put a travel package together on enquiry.
Espanyol are the second club of Barcelona and have spent their history in the shadow of the first — which is precisely what makes a visit interesting. The atmosphere here is closer to a normal Spanish matchday than the tourist-heavy setting of the bigger ground across the city, and a full house against Real Madrid is as loud as this league gets.
The RCDE Stadium opened in 2009 in Cornellà de Llobregat, south-west of the centre. It is a football-only ground with no running track, and the stands sit close to the pitch — a marked contrast to the older Spanish arenas.
The ground is not in central Barcelona. Take the metro or the tram towards Cornellà and allow around half an hour from the city centre, plus a short walk. Plan the return leg too: the crowd leaves in one wave.
