Brugge host Liverpool on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. There is history here: Brugge lost the 1976 UEFA Cup final and the 1978 European Cup final, both to Liverpool.
Two finals, one opponent
At Wembley in 1978 Brugge came up against the Liverpool side of its era and lost narrowly. It remains the greatest chapter in the club's history, and the reason this draw reads differently in Belgium than any other.

Around 29,000 seats, named after a Flemish rebel of the fourteenth century. Blue and black are the colours, and Brugge are Belgium's most decorated club. The ground is shared with Cercle Brugge - two top-flight clubs in a city of 120,000.
