Day 7: Two Tours, Two Different Paces

On 11 May 2027, the two draws visibly diverge for the first time: while the men are still contesting round three, the women's quarterfinals are already underway. The differing schedules of the two tours become especially clear on this day.

Why the schedules diverge

With 96 players in the women's main draw, the field reaches the last eight earlier than the men's draw, which is still working through round three at this stage. For spectators, that means round-of-16 intensity on the men's side and quarterfinal stakes on the women's side, both on the same day.

A day with two peaks

This overlap makes for an especially packed schedule on the show courts, as both draws enter decisive phases at the same time.
