Bundesliga fixtures: When is BVB vs. Bayern scheduled?

Highlights between matchday six and twelve include the match between record champions FC Bayern and current runner-up VfB Stuttgart, which will be the top match on matchday seven on October 19, 2024, on Saturday evening (6:30 PM).  At the beginning of November, there will be a rematch of the Supercup between Bayer Leverkusen and VfB on Friday evening (8:30 PM).  A day later, Borussia Dortmund will face RB Leipzig. Dortmund lost both games against the "Red Bulls" last year.

When is "The German Classic," BVB against FC Bayern?

What would football in Germany be without this match?

Again this year, BVB against Bayern is scheduled as a Saturday evening match – November 30, 2024, at 6:30 PM in Dortmund.  Last year, the results were vastly different. Bayern won 4-0 in Dortmund with three goals from Harry Kane. The second leg in Munich was secured by BVB with a 2-0 victory, marking Borussia's first win at the Allianz Arena since April 2014 (3-0). 

It will be the first "Classic" for the two new coaches, Nuri Sahin at Borussia Dortmund and Vincent Kompany at FC Bayern.  "Nuri has managed to get the entire team behind him," praises BVB boss Hans-Joachim Watzke, successor to Terzic.

Which other games are worth watching?

In December 2023, Eintracht Frankfurt demolished FC Bayern 5-1. The rematch of the league classic or Munich's chance for revenge comes on matchday six, in the Sunday game on October 6, 2024 (5:30 PM). Only Borussia Mönchengladbach has won more home games against the record champions from Munich than Eintracht Frankfurt.

On matchday ten, November 9 at 3:30 PM, at the prime Kiez kickoff time, Bundesliga returnee FC St. Pauli will host FC Bayern Munich. The 1-8 defeat on May 7, 2011, against FC Bayern at the Millerntor Stadium was the biggest home defeat in St. Pauli's Bundesliga history.
