Roland Garros Day 8: The Round of 16 Arrives

Day 8 brings Roland Garros 2027 to the Round of 16 — the last 16 players in each singles draw compete for a place in the quarterfinals. From this stage of the tournament onward, matches are almost exclusively contested between seeded top players, with the remaining field made up of genuine title contenders.

All Round of 16 matches are played on the tournament's two main courts: Court Philippe-Chatrier and Court Suzanne-Lenglen. The atmosphere in both stadiums steps up noticeably compared to the opening days, as every match now directly shapes the rest of the tournament.
