Roland Garros Day 6: The Third Round Begins

Day 6 marks the start of the Third Round at Roland Garros 2027. The field has narrowed considerably by this stage — anyone still competing is now among the last 32 players remaining in their respective singles draw. The tennis on show is correspondingly high-calibre, as the early-round surprises give way to genuine contests between the tournament's strongest players.

The most high-profile Third Round matches are traditionally scheduled on Court Philippe-Chatrier and Court Suzanne-Lenglen, where the atmosphere continues to build. Fans following the tournament from the smaller courts will still find compelling matches at this stage, though the field on show there is noticeably smaller than in the opening days.
