This year, the champions Manchester City kick off the day – with a home match at the Etihad Stadium against FC Everton at lunch time, 12:30 PM British time (1:30 PM CET).

"And in the evening to the Scala": Liverpool vs Leicester

Because: "The Reds", the table-toppers from FC Liverpool, have the evening game. At 9:00 PM, they will host the returning Leicester City at Anfield for Boxing Day, featuring the second oldest goalscorer in Premier League history, James Richard Gill, aka Jamie Vardy, and their new coach Ruud van Nistelrooy ("Van, the Man").

Between the Etihad Stadium, opened in 2002 as the City of Manchester Stadium, and Liverpool's football temple at Anfield, there's a distance of just under 40 kilometers. This can be covered by train in about 2 hours, allowing you to arrive in time at Liverpool's largest station, Lime Street.

From there, it's only a few minutes by taxi to Anfield, where you can immerse yourself in the Boxing Day atmosphere among the houses around the 19-time English champions' stadium.

London Derby on Boxing Day: See Chelsea live at FC Fulham

Or prefer London? FC Chelsea, which shot up to second place in the Premier League table thanks to its new superstar Cole Palmer, has home advantage on the second Christmas Day – with a real London Derby against their close neighbor FC Fulham.
