Planning a Football trip to Italy: Serie A reveals fixtures until January 2026

Serie A Football Trips have become even more predictable since October 6, 2025. Italy’s elite league has now published the full schedule for the 2025/26 season through January 2026. Event-Breaks.com takes a look at some of the most exciting upcoming fixtures.

According to the portal football-italia.net, fans can especially look forward to the "Big Scudetto Battles", the fierce title fights in Serie A, which after six rounds are once again shaping up to be highly competitive.

Only three points separate league leaders and defending champions SSC Napoli and fifth-place record champions Juventus Turin, with nearly identical goal differences.

AS Roma and both Milan clubs, AC and Inter, are also battling at the top of the table. It could once again be a neck-and-neck race like last year between the “Nerazzurri” from Milan and Napoli.

Football Trips Italy: Why is Matchday 16 split into two parts?

Matchday 16 (December 20/21, 2025 and January 14/15, 2026) is an exception. From December 18, 2025, Napoli, Inter FC, FC Bologna, and Milan will compete in the Italian Super Cup (Supercoppa Italiana) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a result, their league matches will be postponed to January.

These include Napoli vs AC Parma on January 14 and Como 1907 vs Milan on January 15, 2026.

Champions vs Record Champions: When do Napoli and Juventus face off?

The next top match awaits fans on Sunday, December 7, 2025: Napoli vs Juventus Turin (8:45 PM at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona). The Monday clash between FC Torino and AC Milan is also worth watching…

On Matchday 15 (December 12–15, 2025), Napoli travel to Udinese Calcio, while Inter face FC Genoa 1893.

On December 20, 2025, the 16th matchday kicks off with a top clash between Juventus Turin and AS Roma. Napoli and Inter will then play their rescheduled matches against Parma and Lecce on January 14, 2026, with home advantage.

The final matchday of the year (December 27–29, 2025) features Milan vs Hellas Verona as an early kickoff (12:30 PM), and the final match of 2025 will be played on December 29 between AS Roma and FC Genoa.

When does Serie A kick off the 2026 calendar year?

Serie A kicks off the new year on January 3, 2026. Como 1907 will open the Italian football year with a home match against Udinese Calcio (12:30 PM), and Juventus Turin will face US Lecce in the early evening (6:00 PM). Defending champions SSC Napoli have a tough start on January 4, 2026: an away game at Lazio Rome (12:30 PM).

When do runners-up Inter play champions SSC Napoli?

In Italy, it's tradition to play on Epiphany (January 6). In 2026, this includes Juventus and AS Roma, who will play away at US Lecce and US Sassuolo respectively. Napoli will host Hellas Verona on January 7, and Inter will travel to Parma Calcio (8:45 PM).
Then on January 11, 2026, comes the clash of “Runners-up vs Champions”: Inter Milan vs SSC Napoli (8:45 PM).
