Shakhtar Donetsk tickets for the Champions League match with AEK Athens

On Wednesday, October 14, 2026 Shakhtar play their home match against AEK in London. Greek support fills the away end, and tickets here are far easier to come by than on an ordinary matchday at this ground.

AEK Athens

Founded in 1924 by Greeks forced out of Constantinople; the Byzantine double-headed eagle on the badge records it. Their ground, opened in 2022, is known as the Agia Sophia after the church in the city they left.

Why London

Shakhtar have staged their home matches outside Ukraine for years; the Donbass Arena in Donetsk is no longer in use by the club, which won the UEFA Cup in 2009.

Stamford Bridge
