Some derbies divide a city. The Old Firm divides a country. On Sunday, September 13, 2026 Rangers host Celtic at Ibrox Stadium in the quarter-final of the Scottish League Cup, the Premier Sports Cup. One leg, straight knockout, no second chance.

And here is the part that makes this one unusual: official tickets starting under €300, still available at short notice. For an Old Firm that is a genuine steal — league fixtures between these two are booked out months ahead and cost a great deal more.

Official Old Firm tickets from under €300: why this one is different

Rangers and Celtic meet several times a season in the league. A cup tie is a different animal: one of them is out by the end of the night. No return leg, no second chance, no league position to soften the blow. The League Cup is also the first trophy decided in Scotland each season — win it and the campaign already has something in it before the title race is settled.

Cup ties also come together late. The draw is made only weeks in advance, which is why this fixture is bookable now rather than a year ago — and why the price sits where it does. For this Rangers home tie we supply official tickets: your seat comes through the proper allocation, not off a resale market.

Which seat, and what it costs

The entry point is the Club Deck Plus in the main stand — an elevated central view down the length of the pitch, and the category that comes in under €300. A second Club Deck block sits alongside it a little higher up the scale.

Above that, Ibrox offers two things most grounds do not. Museum Hospitality puts you inside the club's own trophy rooms before kick-off, and Menu by Gordon Ramsay at Ibrox is exactly what it sounds like — a full dinner at the stadium on matchday. Both are limited and both go early on an Old Firm.

Ibrox: a red brick facade from 1899

The ground is the second reason to come. Ibrox opened in 1899 and holds 50,817. Its listed main facade in red brick is the work of the Scottish stadium architect Archibald Leitch and one of the last of its kind anywhere in Europe — most buildings of that generation were pulled down long ago.

Inside, Ibrox is tight, steep and enclosed. The sound stays in the bowl instead of escaping upwards. On an Old Firm day that stops being an acoustic detail and becomes something you feel.

Getting there through Govan is part of it

Ibrox sits south of the Clyde in the Govan district, with its own stop on the Glasgow Subway. Do not expect to walk up alone: the streets fill hours beforehand, and for a lot of visitors the walk from the station to the ground is the part they remember afterwards.

Glasgow itself is worth the rest of the weekend. The city is compact, the centre walkable, and it lives football seven days a week rather than only on the one.

Two clubs, one city, no neutrals

Rangers have won more Scottish league titles than any other club in the country; Celtic are the counterweight that has been contesting that record for well over a century. There are barely five miles between them. In Glasgow nobody holds a detached opinion about this fixture, and you notice it from the airport onwards.

Tickets and travel packages: how we build the weekend

You can book the ticket on its own or the travel package with a hotel in Glasgow, with flights and transfers if you want them. From Dublin, Belfast, Amsterdam, Copenhagen or Oslo, Glasgow is a short hop — this is a two-night trip, not an expedition.

Because the tie was drawn late, hotel rooms in Glasgow are still to be had at normal rates. That window closes as the date approaches, so the package is worth settling early even though the ticket itself is not the bottleneck this time.

One thing customers mention most often afterwards: you sit together. In the general sale, groups are routinely scattered across different blocks.

Worth knowing before you book

  • The kick-off time can move. Old Firm fixtures are frequently given an early slot for policing reasons and then shifted again for television. Leave room in your travel day and check the time before you fly.
  • Away allocations at the Old Firm are small and set by the home club. We will tell you exactly which areas are bookable when you enquire.
  • Think about colours. In Glasgow, what you wear that day is not a matter of style. If you want to watch as a neutral, dress like one.
  • Bring your passport. Scotland is outside the Schengen area and entry is checked.

Tell us how many of you are travelling and whether you want flights and a hotel alongside the ticket — we will come back with a proposal for the whole weekend, not just the ninety minutes.
