The Spyros Louis Olympic Stadium

Around 69,000 seats under Santiago Calatrava's steel arch of 2004, and the venue of the 1994 and 2007 Champions League finals. Panathinaikos remain the only Greek club to have reached a European Cup final, at Wembley in 1971.

Borac Banja Luka

The club from Republika Srpska won the Mitropa Cup in 1992 and have established themselves at the top of Bosnian football in recent seasons.

Athens

Three to four hours by air from northern Europe, with the metro running from the airport to the stadium. The Acropolis, its museum and the Plaka fill the day beforehand.
