The club comes from Hällevik, a fishing village on the Blekinge coast whose parish counts barely a thousand people - and they are champions of Sweden. One of the most improbable stories in European football.

Because their own ground in Hällevik does not meet UEFA requirements, Mjällby play European home games at Helsingborg's Olympia, capacity around 16,500, some 250 kilometres west on the Öresund.

From Escaldes-Engordany, at the top of the game in Andorra, a country of some 80,000 people.

Just over an hour from Copenhagen, and twenty minutes by ferry from Helsingør. The Kärnan tower above the town and the Öresund beaches are within walking distance.
