The double eagle and the Agia Sophia

AEK were founded in Athens in 1924 by Greeks forced out of Constantinople. The Byzantine double-headed eagle records it, and the ground opened in 2022 is known as the Agia Sophia after the church in the city they left. It stands in Nea Filadelfia, the refugees' district.

The OPAP Arena and the visitors

Around 32,500 seats on steep tiers, very close to the pitch. LASK are the oldest football club in Upper Austria and have played since 2023 at the new Raiffeisen Arena in the middle of Linz.
