Copenhagen does not yet know their first competitive opponent of the season. On July 22, 2025, the Danish champions will play in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

The first match of the new Danish Superliga season will be an away game (all dates provisional) on July 18, 2025, at Viborg FF.

FC Copenhagen will play at home in PARKEN for the first time around July 26, 2025, against Vejle BK. 

When is the title clash against FC Midtjylland?

Since the 2014/2015 season, FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland have shared ten out of eleven Danish league titles. Copenhagen triumphed six times.

Only FCK’s archrival Brøndby IF broke this streak during the pandemic year 2020/2021.

In 2025, FC Copenhagen won the Danish Superliga Championship Round by just one point over FC Midtjylland.

The title showdown will take place on October 5, 2025, in Copenhagen.

When is the "New Firm Derby" between FC Copenhagen and Brøndby IF?

The Danish classic is FC Copenhagen vs. Brøndby IF. These are also the most internationally known clubs from the Scandinavian country, and they have been playing the "New Firm" since November 6, 1992 – making it a relatively young derby.

But make no mistake: the rivalry is intense. From our own experience, people in Copenhagen are not keen on talking about their neighbors from Brøndby.

This town in the Hovedstaden region is officially a suburb of Copenhagen. Brøndby reached the UEFA Cup final in 1991 against AS Roma.

The distance between the stadiums (Brøndby Stadium and PARKEN) of these archrivals is 27.8 kilometers.

Since 1992, FC Copenhagen has faced Brøndby 130 times, winning 61 matches (as of: June 2025). However, Brøndby achieved the biggest victory – 5:0 on May 16, 2005.

In the 2025/2026 season, FC Copenhagen will first host Brøndby IF at home – on November 16, 2025.

FC Copenhagen will face FC Nordsjaelland at home on Matchday 20, around February 8, 2026.
