What types of Formula 1 tickets are there?

There are generally three categories available at almost every circuit:

• General Admission: the cheapest option. Instead of a fixed seat, you find a spot in designated areas along the track. Ideal if you want to stay flexible and experience different parts of the circuit.
• Numbered Grandstand: a fixed, numbered seat with a guaranteed view of a specific section – often with a giant screen in sight. The most popular choice for most fans.
• Hospitality & Paddock Club: the premium category with catering, the best views and sometimes paddock access. More on that below.

In addition, most events offer 3-day tickets (Friday to Sunday, including practice and qualifying) as well as single day tickets. For the full experience, a weekend ticket is usually worth it.

General admission or grandstand – which suits you?

General admission is cheap and flexible but requires arriving early for the best spots and doesn't offer a clear view everywhere. A numbered grandstand guarantees a seat and a sightline – especially at corners with lots of overtaking, along the start-finish straight (with a view of pit stops and the podium), or at iconic sections. If it's your first time, a grandstand is usually the most relaxed choice.

What is the Paddock Club?

The Formula 1 Paddock Club is the most exclusive way to experience a race: suites above the pit lane, gourmet catering, pit-lane walks and sometimes driver appearances. It is the most expensive category – but you get an all-round experience that is often not available in general sale.

How do I find the best grandstand?

The "best" grandstand depends on the circuit. As a rule of thumb: seats at the start-finish line offer pit stops, the grid and the podium; grandstands at tight corners and braking zones see the most overtaking; and circuits with banked corners or elevation changes (such as Zandvoort or Spa) have especially spectacular vantage points.
